dear john…

i’m breaking up with you.

well, not really, but man, i’ve really been thinking about writing the dear-john letter. i’ve been wondering lately if maybe i shouldn’t just quit apologizing about not blogging regularly or finding the time in my insane schedule to blog regularly.

maybe what i should do, is  just quit.

any blogger will tell you that the most important thing about having a successful blog, hey the most successful thing about having a blog. period. is blogging. you know, writing a post at least a few times a week. keeping your readers interested and coming back for more. there were times when i blogged almost daily. endless, wordy updates on the fascinating minutiae that constitutes my life. uh… you know what i mean.   lately however, having a full-time job as well as a fledgeling clothing line to run and grow (not to even talk about my survivor commitments these last few months), has been all-consuming. i visualize  little pacmen gobbling up every ticking second till eventually i have no “free time” anymore.

i wake and lie in bed googling things like “brace clips” on my iphone. or i get up to send emails at 3a.m.

anyway, i don’t want this to be a long whinge. suffice to say that i have at least 5 half-written posts which i’ve not had the time to finish. i’ll see if i can get around to it. and i’m going to stop apologizing. i’ll try to post whenever i can, but if life gets in the way, in the curious way it has a habit of doing, so be it.

so i guess i’m saying, don’t leave me and i won’t break up with you. give me some time  and i’ll still be virtually yours.

really. 😉

  1. It’s ok to take a blog hiatus. It’s your page, your life, and it’s whatever you put into it. If you’re too busy, then that’s life. Don’t feel under pressure to say something, or worry that we’ll be disappointed. Just hope you do manage to find some relief in your schedule. Your story over the months I have been reading it has been pretty inspirational, and I suspect you haven’t finished telling it..
    Take it easy, friend.

  2. Tis the season darling. May to July the blogosphere is quiet, and then again in December. Its weird.
But I hear you! Between cupcakes, working, ADHD support, wedding planning course, wedding planning and my man and my son, my blog is also very quiet.
    😦
Needless to say, I’ll be here, waiting for an update.

  3. Such is life for all of us.

It seems that the whole blogosphere is running aorund like crazy! It is amazing at how busy we can become.

I mean to most of us blogging is a hobby and it is sad that we don’t have time for our hobbies 😦

But hey mouths need to be fed and bills need to be paid. So don’t apologize!

I will not abandon you either!

  4. Don’t break up with us… I’ve been neglectful as well!

I won’t abandon you either. Take your time… xoxo
